My little program selects randomly (Sp?) a StartupScreen/Startupsound.
Use:
- Create a folder named "Screens" in your System Folder
- Copy your Startupscreens in. Names may vary...
- Copy a Startupscreen in your Systemfolder (as usual)
- Create a folder named "Sounds" in your System Folder
- Copy your Sounds in. Names may vary...
- Copy a sound named "StartUpSound" in your Startup - Folder
Last but not copy my programm Random StartUp2.0 in your Startup folder. (Very important!! :)
Misc:
The programm is very fast and small, that't why, im very proud of it (little joke). I don't copy files, I only change pathes. That may cause very small problems with the file names. That file, which act as startup item, is called startupsound or startupscreen - the names of them are saved in my program...
You haven't to use both features of it - you can use it only for sounds or only for screens.
It runs only on System 7 equiped macs.
Ok:
Read my lips: "I don't garantie anything!" But - it's not a big hack, I only used "normal" System - features. It works at my and my brothers desktop perfectly...
You can read the names of the folders etc in the resource fork... (You may change them)
If you like my programm, you have to send me a postcard:
